We're so happy you're considering adoption for your next bff! We understand that this is a big decision that comes with lots of questions so we've designed this page to answer some of the most common ones. Don't see your question here? Feel free to send us an email at timeispreciouspetrescue@gmail.com
Fill out an application, schedule a meet and greet (or two or three), fianlize contracts and take your new bestie home.
Of course! Once your application is approved someone will reach out for the phone interview and schedule your first meet and greet, you can even request to meet multiple pets to find the right fit for you.
Adopters must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid photo ID, and agree to the terms of our adoption contract. You can preview our contract here: [insert pdf of voided and watermarked adoption contract]. Other requirements vary by the pet's needs and will be listed in their bio.
Our adoption fees start at $300 for healthy, fully vetted dogs and $150 for healthy, fully vetted pet cats. Discounts are applied based on factors such as heartworm status, age, length of stay, and any behavior or medical management that would require ongoing care. You can find each pet's adoption fees in their bio.
All adoptions include the pet's spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, and dewormer. Every pet will go home with a collar and leash, their medical records, a single dose of their preventatives, and any other medications they are taking. You will also receive an email with their medical records, the steps to success document, a copy of the 3-3-3 rule, and a link to a shared Google Photos album containing your pet's photos and videos from their time with us that you can upload happy home updates to.
All adoptions begin as "foster-to-adopt," which entails a mandatory one-week commitment to housing your new pet. After the initial 7 days, you will then have 3 weeks to return your pet and receive a refund of your adoption fee. After the 3 week period if you decide your pet is not a good fit, TiPPR will offer rehoming support while the pet remains in your care and you will not receive a refund of the adoption fee.
We welcome adopters from all across the U.S. and parts of Canada. Long-distance adopters are asked to cover transportation fees and help coordinate pickup through a third-party transport service. Meet and greets with distance adopters will be held via video call, videos and pictures will be shared to help you get an idea if this pet will be a good fit you will have the oppurtunity to request specific videos/settings that are important to you and TiPPR will be as transparent and honest as possible when discussing any pet's history, demeanor, and behaviors. We cannot accept returns of long-distance adoptions and will only be able to provide rehoming support should it not work out.
